Foreign cardholders can choose their preferred payment currency.
Or withdraw cash in their native currency at the exchange rate applicable on the transaction date through credit card terminals, such as Electronic Data Capture (EDC) devices, website payment gateways, or Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs).
The credit card terminal displays information on its screen.
To inform the cardholder, the credit card terminal displays the amount in Thai Baht, the exchange rate on the transaction date, and the equivalent amount in the cardholder’s native currency, allowing foreign cardholders to select their preferred transaction option.
Details of the Sales Slip
The sales slip will display the amount in Thai Baht, the exchange rate on the transaction date, and the amount in the foreign cardholder’s native currency.
Merchants utilizing the currency conversion service will receive the transaction amount transferred in Thai Baht.
Meanwhile, foreign cardholders will know the exact amount to be paid for goods or services in their native currency.
