Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)

This service is ideal for merchants who serve international customers and sell goods or provide services to foreign visitors.

Only VISA and Mastercard credit cards are eligible for this service.

The merchant must enter the amount in Thai Baht. The credit card terminal will then automatically convert the amount into the cardholder’s currency.

How Does the Sales Slip Differ Between a Currency Conversion Transaction and a Thai Baht Transaction?

For transactions with currency conversion, the sales slip will display the following details:

  • The amount in Thai Baht
  • The exchange rate applied
  • The amount in the cardholder’s currency

In contrast, a standard Thai Baht transaction slip will show only the amount in Thai Baht.

The merchant will receive the transferred funds in Thai Baht. Meanwhile, the international cardholder will see the amount payable in their own currency.
